‘Clean Government, Putting Boholanos First’

THE ABante Bohol team, led by its gubernatorial candidate, Second District Representative Erico Aristotle “Aris” C. Aumentado, had unveiled its platform of governance that will be the basis for its campaign for the upcoming May 9, 2022 national and local elections.

First unveiled to the public during its Opening Salvo last February 10, 2022 at Fortridge Pavillion in Songculan, Dauis, Bohol, the so-called “ABante Roadmap and Development Agenda” is intended to guide the whole slate in its goal of serving the Boholanos for years to come. Anchored on the promise of “Limpyo nga Panggobierno, Unahon ang Bol-anon” (A Clean Government, Putting Boholanos First), the agenda plans to solve the different issues that plague the province for many years, and also provide the needs of the people through different ways.

In the said event, the Development Agenda was presented, in which it consists of two pillars of development, POWER and WATER. These two aspects were selected as an important part of the agenda because these will be the backbone to all other points that are being highlighted in the agenda, and it continues to be a serious issue for many Boholanos. “Panahon na nga seryosohon kini og pangitaag kasulbaran (It is now time for us to be serious about it and find solutions),” Aumentado said during its presentation.

The Development Agenda consists of five points: AGRI-FISHERIES AND LIVELIHOOD, SOCIAL SERVICES AND POVERTY REDUCTION, REFORMS IN GOVERNANCE AND PEACE & ORDER, INFRASTRUCTURE AND ENVIRONMENT, and EDUCATION. These five elements of the agenda will have a big part in ensuring that the services of the Provincial Government will reach to all its constituents and the province will really have the development it deserves.

The presentation also includes the Roadmap of Governance the team will have upon winning the elections, and the First 100 Days Checklist, in which several actions will be done on the first three months of office. These include the review of existing contracts involving provincial hospitals, plug holes to prevent the presence of “Ivans” in the processing of quarry and hauling permits, revitalizing councils and local bodies, and an inventory of all PGBh properties.

Aumentado noted that together with the support of the whole slate, the people will experience a new way of governance and that the province will prosper towards the march to development.

“Gitinguha nato ang usa ka lalawigan nga atong ikapasigarbo. (We want a province that we can be proud of.) A Bohol we can be proud of,” the solon added. (ABante Bohol PR)
