City Mayor Yap swears in BTMA officers

MAYOR Baba Yap of Tagbilaran City has inducted officers of the Bohol Tri-Media Association (BTMA) during the induction ceremonies on March 11, 2022 at Bohol Tropics Resort here.

Sworn in are Ric Obedencio of Bohol News Today as president; Bohol Sunday News publisher Atty. Dandan Bantugan, executive vice-president; DYRD’s Fed Araneta, VP for broadcast; DYRD’s Atoy Cosap, VP for print; Fe Moncada-Malimot, secretary; Richelyn Maestrado, treasurer; DYRD’s Cecilio Remolador, auditor.

Aside from Mayor Yap who was the guest of honor, his better-half city First Lady jane Yap also graced the event.

Others who graced the said activity are FCB’s Richard Uy, Atty. Jamie Aumentado-Villamor, Goldie Herrera-Caya and Mr. Gabuya.

Villamor received the plaque of recognition for his grandfather then governor Erico Boyles Aumentado and so with Herrera-Caya for his late uncle Senator Ernesto “Boy” Herrera, Mr. Peter Dejarsco for his late father Atty. Zoilo Dehaarsco (Bohol Chronicle/DYRD patriarch) and Gabuya for his father, the late radio commentator Cris Gabuya.

BTMA has decided to give posthumous award to mediamen who passed away and who, in one way or another, contributed to the community media development in Bohol. (rvo)
