THE Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) continues to provide fire stations in every town in Bohol by providing funds in building them.
This came as it has just acquired a 500 square-meter lot donated by Mabini town, where signing of the deed of donation was undertaken with Mayor Onjie B. Lim and regional director CSupt Roberto Genave of BFP last week.
Witnessing the donation signing were fire Provincial director Raul Bustalino, Mabini Vice-Mayor Colis, council members and department heads and BFP personnel.
BFP’s Genave said that the lot acquisition is a prelude to construction of fire station/office building to the tune of P10 million soon.
Mayor Onjie Lim, in bahalf of the townsfolk, thanked Genave, Bustalino and BFP for the promise of fire building.
BFP also did the groundbreaking for fires stations/offices in the towns of Lila and Dimiao after the lot acquisition.
Dimiao Mayor Randolph Ang and Lila Mayor Atty. Jed Piollo told media interview of the groundbreaking and thanked BFP for the fire building station to rise in their midst sooner.
Early of last week, BFP turned over the new fire station in Cortes town with the presence of same BFP officials, Mayor Lyn Iven Lim and Vice-Mayor Rodrigo Uy.
Mayor Iven Lyn Lim expressed gratitude to BFP for the new fire station located near the police station.
Meanwhile, Genave and Bustalino inspected the 2,000 sqm lot situated near the on-going building of new hospital in Cortes town donated by the provincial government.
BFP said that the said lot would be used for its regional office once it transferred here from Cebu City. (rvo)
