Signal, anyone?

We are currently in the first quarter of the 21st century. Technologies have advanced astonishingly, and some even commented that we are nearly reaching a bottleneck in our advance. However, that topic is another story altogether. We will dive down to specifics in our technological advancements, specifically signal towers and their corresponding waves of benefits in our society.

We cannot argue the usefulness of signal towers and the benefits that they bring us. We can now communicate with people all around the globe using our phones! This benefit was unimaginable during the 1800s, yet it is something we use in our daily lives without giving it a second thought. However, we can claim that some areas around our province are not as lucky as Tagbilaran, which have almost full signal coverage within the city and homes.

Is this unfair? Of course, it is unjust! We all require the desire to communicate with our friends, loved ones, and, God forbid, work! What about areas where our cars breakdown, or we get into an emergency, or we need assistance, and for some unlucky fate, it happened in a place with no signal coverage. Yes, we can flag down another person coming our way for help, but what if the area is completely isolated and night time is approaching. What then? It is scary to think about it, but it does happen to the best of us.

That is why we propose that the government officials elect who will take their oath soon to take this matter to heart since it affects all of us, and it has benefits far beyond the examples I have given. This project will save lives, save time, and save us from worry and state boredom. We hope our leaders take heed of our hunger for connectivity.  May they continue to bring hope to the citizens they have vowed to serve. (MIDB)
