THE turnover the 20 wheelchairs to persons with disability in different barangays was successful Benjie Oliva, who initiated the launching of the charity work in medical mission in barangay Baang last week, said.
“The Medical Mission and Wheelchair Turn Over this morning held at Baang Covered Court was a tremendous success,” he said in his social media account.
Oliva spent his birthday in the medical mission launching and inauguration of infrastructure projects in this town.
Oliva expressed his sincere and heartfelt thanks to Gov. Aris Aumentado and Catigbian Mayor Elizabeth Mandin, Jun Pasion of PH Cares, Inc., Rotary Club of Pasay Cyber City.
He also thanked the Fraternal Order of Eagles-Philippine Eagles, Inc – NCR Hinirang Region, LGU Catigbian Municipal Health Office led by Dr. Eldrin Mascarinas, the Medical Outreach Unit, Cong. Edgar Chatto, Rev. Fr. Ondoy Apolinar and host Brgy. Captain Ulysses Digaum and the rest of the barangay captains of Santo Niño Baang Parish led by ABC President Fe Banol for the assistance.
He said that the arrangement of the wheelchairs is for the barangays to take charge for their use to the beneficiaries. The latter will not own but only use it, so that if they would okay with their ailment, the wheelchair may be used for other recipients.
And Baang barangay chairman Digaum confirmed this (arrangement in wheelchair use) in an interview with the BNT.
Oliva, the president of the Rotary Club of Pasay Cyber City, in Metro Manila, together with Aumentado and Mandin, Board Member Aldner Damalerio, who represented Chatto and other officials also led the inauguration of various infrastructure the following projects: (1) P128M Road Concreting Poblacion-Alegria-Candumayao–Causwagan Norte-Mantacida; (2) P50M Alegria Flood Control; (3) P100M Poblacion and Poblacion Weste Flood Control; (4) P40M Solar Street lighting Jct. Cortes -Balilihan-Catigbian; and (5) P5M Causwagan Norte Covered Court.
Oliva also thanked the Sangguniang Bayan chaired by Vice-Mayor Angilan for their support and cooperation to hasten the project implementation.
