Darling of the Press for Miss Getafe 2024 chosen

GETAFE – The officials of this town, dubbed “Jewel of the North” led by brothers Mayor Cary Camacho and Vice-Mayor Casoy Camacho launched the Miss Getafe 2024 pageant since last year after seven years of hiatus.

The revival of the pageant as part of the annual fiesta celebration in honor of Sto. Nino was held with the selection of the Darling of the Press on January 17 during the Sangguniang Bayan night as part of the week-long nightly activities. The coronation night will be on January 26, a day before the feast the following day.

The board of judges has already chosen the Darling of the Press award but this will be announced on Jan. 26.

The board of Judges is composed of Johnny Orioque (BBDN publisher), his wife, Jessica Soledad-Orioque (BBDN business manager), Bob Galero, (Bteranong Broadcaster DYTR and DYRD), Juergen Maxilom of Cebu and Ric Obedencio (Editor, Bohol News Today).

The launching was also made possible with the focal person Ms. Jesfer Camacho, wife of the mayor and concerted effort of Liga ng mga Barangay municipal federation led by its president Kag. Cydon Cariso Camacho.

The activity held at the Ambacon Cultural Center was well-attended by the municipal council led by Vice Mayor Casoy Camacho and the barangay chairmen who pinned the sash to their respective hopefuls during the sashing and advocacy presentation program.
