TAGBILARAN CITY, Bohol, January 17 (PIA)–The 21st Special Forces Company “Riverine” of the Philippine Army has recently installed its new commander in the province.
Capt. Bilver F. Butale assumed as the new commanding officer of the company during a change of command ceremony held at Barangay Riverside in Bilar town on January 16.
Regiment Commander Brig. Gen. Ferdinand B. Napuli presided over the ceremony which included the symbolic passing of the command from the outgoing to the incoming commander.
The outgoing commander is Commanding Officer Capt. Angelito S. Pangan who will be assigned at the Special Forces School at Fort Ramon Magsaysay in Nueva Ecija.
Butale, in his message, stated that he would continue the efforts of the 21st Special Forces’ commitment and vision to attain an insurgent-free Bohol.
“I will not promise anything but to perform my duties and responsibilities with the best of my knowledge and abilities,” the new commander said.
“Recognizing the many leaps and milestones that we have accomplished especially with the outgoing commander, Capt. Pangan, I assure to the 21st Special Force Company that I will continue to add more to what you (Pangan) have already laid out so that we will achieve our core mission and vision for this unit and fully contribute not only to the regiment but to the whole country as a whole,” Butale said.
