Mayor Yap advocates Streamlined
Business Applications and Renewals

BOSS PLATFORM.  Bureau of Fire Protection(BFP) personnel join forces with the City Government of Tagbilaran in streamlining business application and renewal processes through the Business One-Stop Shop (BOSS) platform. Together, they pave the way for a seamless and hassle-free experience to facilitate every step at the City Hall Atrium reminding everyone of the January 22, 2024 deadline.

AS the City Government of Tagbilaran gears up for its annual business permit renewal period, Mayor Jane Yap is leading a charge to digitalize and streamline government operations by encouraging local business owners to embrace the convenience of online permit application and renewal.

While the traditional method of physical filing remains available, Mayor Yap is championing the use of the city’s eBusiness Permit and Licensing Portal to expedite transactions for both renewal and new applications.

In line with this initiative, the Business Permits and Licensing Office (BPLO) through its head Atty. Colleen Rose Guantero-Medidas and the City Treasurer’s Office (CTO) led by Mr. Hubert Inas, have established a Business One Stop Shop (BOSS), operating on extended hours from 8 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., Monday to Saturday, until January 22, 2024 and offering a parallel e-BOSS which is available online.

Mayor Yap underscores the importance of adopting digital channels, stating, “Our goal is to provide business owners with a more efficient and accessible means of securing permits. The e-BOSS or online BOSS aligns with our commitment to modernize services for the benefit of our vibrant business community.”

Securing or renewing your business permit online has been simplified into three straightforward steps.

Start by logging in to the official website at www.tagbilaran.gov.ph.

Once logged in, payment for business tax, fire fees, and barangay clearance fees can be done using secure online channels.

Finally, clients can receive the electronic/digital copy of the Mayor’s Permit.

For those who will use the 2024 online business registration, Atty. Medidas is urging a thorough review and attachment of the required documents, emphasizing that a successful initial application does not guarantee approval without the necessary paperwork.

Renewal requirements include obtaining a Real Property Tax (RPT) Clearance from the CTO-Window 29.

For new applications, business owners must provide the necessary legal documents, such as Department of Trade and Industry Sole Proprietorship/ Securities and Exchange Commission with Articles of Incorporation/ Cooperative Development Authority, along with a Certificate of Occupancy for new buildings or a Certificate of Old Existing Building from the Office of Building Official for old structures.

If renting, a Lessor’s Permit for 2024 is also required, in addition to the RPT Clearance from the CTO.

Mayor Yap urges business owners to proactively comply with these requirements, ensuring a seamless and efficient business permit application or renewal process.

The City Government of Tagbilaran remains steadfast in its commitment to providing accessible and business-friendly services to promote economic growth in the city.
