IN A milestone ceremony held at the Saulog Gym on January 5, 2024, the City Government of Tagbilaran proudly showcased the successful implementation of its First 1000 Days program.

Rooted in the initiatives of “Buntis Alagaan, Bata Ampingan” and “Batang Abtik Basta Alaga,” this program aims to provide comprehensive support to pregnant women and pre-school children, ensuring their health and well-being during the critical developmental phases.

The “Buntis Alagaan, Bata Ampingan” milk supplementation program, catering to 85 pregnant and lactating Tagbilaranons, is a crucial step in safeguarding the health and nutrition of these individuals during a pivotal period in their lives.

In her message, City Mayor Jane Yap expressed her enthusiasm for the program, stating, “Our First 1000 Days initiative reflects our dedication to the health and well-being of our mothers and children. By providing targeted support during these crucial periods, we are investing in the future of Tagbilaran City, ensuring a healthy and vibrant community.”
