THE Tagbilaran City Friendship building, a hub of art, livelihood, and cultural affairs located at the Tagbilaran City Friendship Park at barangay Bool, was inaugurated during a simple ceremony on December 22, 2023.
Led by City Mayor Jane Yap, the event marked the inauguration of a vibrant community space designed to foster connections and enrich the cultural fabric of the city.
The newly blessed Friendship Building boasts of three (3) key components that contribute to its multifaceted role in the community.
The building features an Artworks Gallery showcasing the creativity and talent of local artists.
It also has a Livelihood Showroom where products, crafts and souvenir items of the City Livelihood and Development Unit can be displayed.
In addition to this, the building houses an office space dedicated to the City Events, Culture, and Arts.
This serves as a central hub for the planning and organizing of cultural events at the Tagbilaran City Friendship Park.
Mayor Jane Yap, with City Government officials, department heads, Bool Barangay officials, members of the city council for culture and arts, and the city tourism office, led the blessing ceremony.
The collective efforts of these individuals highlight the collaborative spirit that defines Tagbilaran City’s commitment to community development.
Mayor Yap expressed her gratitude for the shared vision, stating, “The Friendship Building is a testament to our commitment to community growth and cultural enrichment. It is a space that embodies the spirit of connection and collaboration, and I am excited to see the positive impact it will have on our community.”
