Elah Merari Lagrido is Miss Jagna 2023

AFTER a hiatus of about four years, Jagna town has finally chosen its queen this year. And she’s none other than Elah Merari Lagrido as Miss Jagna 2023 in a glittering and glamorous grand coronation night.

Lagrido, who well represented cluster 10 of hinterland barangays Boctol, Calabacita and Mayana, bested 11 other hopefuls. She also reaped special awards: Skin Beauty District Face of the Night; Miss Bohol Elite Vehicle Rental; Miss Bohol Bee Farm; and Miss Smile Savers Dental Clinic, according to the facebook post of Miss Jagna 2023.

Completing her royal court are Marife Gasing (cluster 5), as 1st runner-up; Avery Majella Galagar (cluster 2), second RU; Zhanjie Chin Canada (cluster 4), 3rd RU; and Marion Viñalon (cluster 12), 4th RU.

Zhanjie Chin Canada grabbed the most-coveted Darling of the Press as she also added the following awards to her cap: Miss Charm, Best in Production Number, Miss Smile Saviors Dental Clinic, Miss SMCT Bajaj and Miss Jagna Palmolive Gandang Natural.

Other bets for the Miss Jagna 2023 are the following: CLUSTER 1 (Alejawan, Naatang, Tubod Mar) – Shian Erikha Bajao; CLUSTER 2 (Larapan, Nausok, Pangdan)- Majella Averey Galagar; CLUSTER 3 (Pagina, Poblacion, Tejero) -Leah Carmel Mendez; CLUSTER 6 (Bunga Ilaya, Kinagbaan, Laca) -Mia May Acebes; CLUSTER 7 (Balili, Buyog, Malbog)- Mary Ariza Jane Balaba;; CLUSTER 8 (Canjulao, Cantuyoc, Looc) France Nicole Jimenez; CLUSTER 9 (Can-ipol, Odiong, Tubod Monte)- Sheila Christine Sedavia; and CLUSTER 11 (Cabungaan, Cambugason, Lonoy) – Jessa Madera.

When it comes to beauty and brain, Jagnaanons may not be put aside. Jagna beauties who grabbed the prestigious Miss Bohol titles were Tiffany Yap in 1990; Racelle Adlaon in 1991; Celevel Ranoco in 1992; Fatima Liora Lloren Rana in 2003; and Idy Caseñas Cagas (Pundok Jagnaanon) in 2012, according to Leo Udtohan, a correspondent of the Philippine Daily Inquirer and stringer of the GMA 7.
