Congw. Tutor in committee meeting in HOR. (contributed)

CONGRESSWOMAN Kristine Alexie B. Tutor reported that the salary of government employees will be increased once they retire from service.

This came after the civil service committee she chairs approved last week the said increase or a grade higher of government workers upon their retirement.

But it’s still a long way to go as this will still pass thru the eye of the needle in House of Representatives and Senate plenary in separate sessions.

Tutor also bared that the House on third and final reading passed the Philippine Physical Therapy Law and the  Disaster Food Bank and Stockpile.

Meanwhile, Tutor also announced that her housing project has been and still erecting houses for the poorest of the poor.

The latest were those of Jimboy and Mary Ann Raot-raot of purok 4, barangay Owac, Bilar, the 148th house constructed under the said program.

John Rey and Mary Pagaran, purok 2, brgy. Ulbujan, G-Hernandez and Remondo and Reselyn Pojas, barangay Lundag, Pilar Bohol, are the 149th and 150th beneficiary, respectively. (rvo)
