CONGRESSWOMAN Vanessa C. Aumentado has clarified that the medical assistance fund she facilitated in various hospitals is not hers but from the people’s taxes.
This came after she helped facilitate the hospitalization of one Raineria Berro Calipusan, 39, a resident of Duay, Duero town for her “mitral valve replacement” of her heart at the Philippine Heart Center in Quezon City in May 10, 2023.
“Sa ilang pagpasalamat, usa sa akong nasulti, dili ni akong kwarta kundi kwarta kini sa Gobyerno, buwis sa mga katawhan so angay gyud tabangan ang nagkinahanglan. Gihimo lang ko nga instrumento para mapabati ninyo nga dunay Gobyernong nagpakabana.”
(In their gratitude, I told them this not my money but from people’s taxes, hence, there’s a necessity to help those in need. I’m just being an instrument so that the people would feel there’s a government that’s concerned of your welfare).
The lady solon issued a letter of guarantee (LG) in funding to the tune of P450,000.00 of the said medical procedure of Calipusan.
Another patient who availed of said assistance is Joshua Vallejos Libotano, 1 month old, a resident of Purok 5 Del Mar, Mabini, Bohol, Aumentado said.
The patient, diagnosed with Sepsis Neonatorum was confined at Don Emilio Del Valle Memorial Hospital, Ubay on August 13, 2023. And the total amount of assistance from the Office of Cong Van-van Aumentado was P113,798.20.
She said that her being their representative has been allocating funds for medical assistance and hospitalization here in Bohol and other hospitals, including the Philippine Heart Center and National Kidney Institute in Manila.
She said that the said allocation for medical help is not only for the second district that she represented but to all, first and third districts.
