EXCEPT maybe for some, public and private schools in the country have already closed its school year, 2022-23.
And this includes colleges and universities offering tertiary education.
As a consequence, graduation ceremonies in all elementary schools, secondary schools (public), colleges and universities all over the country have been held.
For elementary graduates, there could be no possible problem that may crop up after their graduation. For interested parents and students, an automatic enrolment and education for free in secondary education is guaranteed by the national government.
To Short Cuts, secondary education largely depends on the interest of the child concerned and as closely monitored by their parents. Primarily, however, without the child’s determination – even at his tender age – for secondary education, nothing can follow.
On the contrary, however, of what use is the child’s interest to go for secondary education if his parents are not collaborating with him? Therefore, parents’ cooperative mind and endeavor into the child’s ambition are expected to be given.
Otherwise, the child becomes helpless!
And after secondary education, WHAT?
Tertiary education begins – – -.
Are all high school graduates afforded equal privileges to go for college education?
To Short Cuts again, definitely NOT!
Only few are privileged to enjoy. Only the rich and the elite members of society are advantaged.
For what reason or reasons?
It is a matter of record that everybody is experiencing high cost of living these days! And the same problem carries with it the corresponding rise on miscellaneous and tuition fees in attaining college education.
And, what about the board and lodging expenses if one is not from the capital city of Tagbilaran?
But, with one’s firm determination in graduating a college degree, Short Cuts is of the honest opinion that such an ambition can easily be obtained.
In what way?
Be a working student in the college or university you are enrolled! And as a working student do not choose your work as a working student! If you are commissioned by the school director to scrub the floor as a janitor, DO IT. And, do not be ashamed to be called a working student.
Just smile with it and enjoy.
And, what about your board and lodging?
The same, be a working student in the residential house you are staying.
Could this be possible?
With the help of our Heavenly Father….. this can be done!
As narrated above…. That was Short Cuts experience as a working student in the school and at the same time working in the residential house he was staying.
Yet, he graduated his college courses with flying colors!
However, the main problem that one will encounter after graduating a college degree is EMPLOYMENT.
It is honestly believed that the main objective in acquiring college education – as in Short Cuts – is employment in order to help educate one’s younger brothers and sisters.
And, with that, strive hard and be employed.
