And, this is the issue!

HAVE you ever experienced of an occasion where you were seemingly denied entry by a security guard to a receiving room in an office of a very powerful telecommunication corporation operating in the province?

Such a denial will definitely deprive one to see and confer with an office manager for very important issues to be discussed.

Have you experienced as a visitor in an office where you were not offered a seat inside the office?

This very awkward and unexpected incidents happened to Short Cuts last week right here in the City of Tagbilaran.

And, just because Short Cuts was in a rubber shoes and wearing the most rugged clothing but suited of a farmer he was subjected to such an unfair treatment? (Short Cuts, at that specific time had just arrived direct from his farm in Carmen.)

What if, Short Cuts was in a spic-and-span appearance during that occasion with his polo barong, would he ever experience just the same treatment?

Imagine, the security guard manning the entrance gate of the receiving office was reluctant in admitting Short Cuts to the office despite Short Cuts’ display of his Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs (OSCA) Identification (ID) Card.

And the same security guard was reluctant in letting Short Cuts get inside the office of the manager.

Short Cuts insisted in getting inside the Manager’s Office. But, once inside the office, still he was conducted by the manager to go out of the office and was directed by way of a motion made by her hands for Short Cuts to take his seat outside her office.

But, Short Cuts did not oblige. Instead, he told the manager, “I have a very important issue to be discussed with you regarding your company’s use of my lot leased by your company”.

Knowing the importance of Short Cuts’ purpose, he was allowed inside her office. From nowhere, she pulled out a chair and was given to Short Cuts. But the manager did not take her seat. She began asking Short Cuts of the details of his coming to the office.

Without giving importance to the manager’s further statements, Short Cuts told her: “Inform your main office that not until an action is given to my complaint, I will padlock entry of your maintenance worker to your cell site premises inside my lot in Tagbilaran”.

And, Short Cuts’ complaint against the telecommunication corporation?

Some years back, a Contract of Lease was entered into between Short Cuts and a certain telecommunication corporation operating in this city. The latter ceased its operation and sold its rights to another telecommunication corporation before the expiration of the said contract.

After ten years, the same contract expired. Almost a year after its expiration date, a negotiation was about to be reached between the parties. But, for reasons only known to the new telecommunication corporation, the same was not ultimately met.

If Short Cuts’ memory does not fail him, a new CONTRACT OF LEASE has not been executed between the parties until now.

Why?
