BARELY a year since she assumed position as local chief executive of Tagbilaran City, mayor Jane Yap scored a +79% net satisfaction rating in the Bohol Poll 2023.
According to the recent results of the highly respected Holy Name University Center for Research and Publications Bohol Poll 2023, eight out of ten (81%) of Tagbilaranons were satisfied with mayor Yap’s performance as city mayor, while 16% are undecided and very few (2%) are dissatisfied, which resulted to an Excellent net satisfaction rating of +79.
Mayor Yap, the first woman and youngest mayor Tagbilaran City, expressed her gratitude and humility to the people of Tagbilaran upon learning about the impressive satisfaction rating results.
She credited the success to the collaborative efforts of the city government, dedicated public servants, and the unwavering support of the Tagbilaranons.
“I am deeply honored and humbled by the overwhelming support and satisfaction rating bestowed upon me. This achievement reflects the collective efforts of our team and the trust and confidence of the people. We will continue to work tirelessly to fulfill our commitments and address the needs of our community,” she said.
Moreover, the Tagbilaran City Government was also rated very good in terms of ensuring adequacy of drinking water among city residents, which marked +68% satisfaction rating.
The city also gained a +59% rating in two categories: investment promotions, and livelihood and employment generation.
Likewise, the city government obtained +58% rating for protecting life and property.
Vice Mayor Adam Relson Jala received a net satisfaction rating of +61 with two-thirds of Tagbilaranons expressing satisfaction with his performance.
The sangguniang panlungsod of Tagbilaran was also cited as one of the best government offices in the entire province according to the Bohol Poll 2023.
