NINE (9) entries were officially declared winners in the Saulog Tagbilaran 2023 Photo and Video exhibit and competition on May 10, 2023 held at the Island City Mall Activity Center.
Hundreds of aspirants presented their entries but only nine grabbed the coveted awards as the latter seized the lively and jubilant atmosphere of Saulog Tagbilaran 2023 and as they presented their visually breathtaking photos and videos that truly capture the festival’s essence.
Aside from the announcement of the winners during the opening of the Saulog Tagbilaran 2023 Photo and Video Contest, Exhibit, there was also a feature of various photographs and video highlights taken during the Saulog Tagbilaran grand street dancing and parade.
The different winners in the competition were:
* Photo Contest (Street Category) – Eric Cellan, 1st place; Raymund Apale , 2nd place; Maria Evelyn Luperte, 3rd place.
* Photo Contest (Contingent Category) – Michol Sanchez, 1st place; Francisco Pajares Jr., 2nd place; Michol Sanchez, 3rd place.
* Video Highlights Contest – Othneil Porsuelo, 1st place; Thyme Kierzen Garcia, 2nd place; John JV Cabardo; 3rd place.
The panel of judges included the following:
* Photo Contest – Noel San Andres, Lord Pocon, Sherwin Sapong, and Mr. Judd Joshua Gesite;
* Video Contest – Christian Paul Naparota, Chris Ramasola, and Richard Solis.
Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap, represented by City Councilor Fausto Bebot Budlong, expressed her gratitude to all the participants who joined the contests and exhibited their participation highlighting the talents of the people of Tagbilaran City.
Mayor Yap also congratulated all the winners and praised their exceptional works of art.
The event featuring the Saulog 2023 Tagbilaran photo and video exhibit and contest was organized by the City Government of Tagbilaran through Sherwin Sapong of the Tagbilaran City Council for Culture and Arts, committee on photo and video.
This event, which promotes and celebrates the rich culture and traditions of Tagbilaran City, also showcases the skills and creativity of its residents.
The exhibit was open to the public and was well-attended by photography and video enthusiasts, and local residents and tourists.
