We are here to honor and express our gratitude to all women in our family for their selfless love and care,” Mayor Yap said during her keynote address.
Mayor Yap also highlighted the City Government’s programs and projects for women.
Through the City Livelihood and Community Development Unit, Tagbilaran City was able to establish its own Garments Manufacturing Center with fully trained women tailors and seamstresses.
The Center is also producing different clothing items and bags with the help of civil society organizations and private partners such as FCB foundation, Spark Philippines and renowned designers like Zarah Juan.
The City continues to train women for other livelihood projects through the City Social Welfare and Development Office and the City Agrivet Office.
