THE mobile passporting services in Tagbilaran City has again set its wheels in motion. In partnership with the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA), Tagbilaran City through the Public Employment Services Office (PESO) will have its Mobile Passporting Service on January 11 to 12 next year from 8:30AM to 3:30PM in the City Hall Atrium.
The City Government of Tagbilaran has always endeavored for continuous streamlining and improvement of the frontline services delivery, with the end goal of delivering quality, timely and relevant public service.
City Mayor Jane Yap personally thanked the Department of Foreign Affairs for the opportunity.
“Our constituents will be able to save money needed for travel, transportation, and meals. Also, this service is convenient and is beneficial to our OFWs who are renewing their passport or to those who are applying for jobs abroad and for professionals who do not have the time to go to Cebu or Manila. In other words, we have brought quality service with greater ease and convenience to our people,” Yap said.
Prior to the mobile passporting service, interested applicants have to comply with the requirements of the DFA which is to have an active email address account. Applicants were also required to present the needed documents for the registration. Incomplete and inaccurate documentary requirements on the actual mobile passporting schedule will be rejected; the processing fee will also be forfeited. Applicants with lost or mutilated passport will not be accommodated and walk-in applicants will not be entertained. Mayor Yap is looking forward for more mobile passport services in the future and is committed to provide the needed logistical requirements for other DFA programs. (Jeanette Busano)
