Transformational Leadership for Transformative Education

Teachers need leaders who will show them the way to the achievement of targets as planned and mandated.

There is a need to accept the reality that teachers do not know everything.  That is why, there is a need to conduct dialogues to clarify issues, concerns, gaps, and problems. Any level of teacher-student interaction, whether it be within  or outside of the  classroom, can be carefully reviewed to show its narrative nature at its  core.  This interaction comprises a     teacher as the narrator    and patient, receptive objects, the students. Whether the contents are moral standards or empirical       aspects of existence, they tend to become lifeless and frozen during the narration process. The same problem affects education.

The teachers were able to identify the problems in their classrooms by using transformative professional development training. They then realigned their useful pedagogical ideas, instructional plans, and materials, put them into practice in their classrooms, and communicated their observations on the new teaching experiences.

The “four I’s”—idealized influence, inspiring cause, intellectual stimulation, and individual consideration—are the four components of transformational leadership. Each element will be covered in detail to assist managers in implementing this strategy at work (https://edis.ifas.ufl.edu›publication).  People who are motivated, inspired, well-informed, and guided will surely do their best to perform assigned tasks, even beyond expectations. They are even willing to spend more of their time, talent, and treasure on the delivery of basic services

Concepts learned if only put into practice would be beneficial to the life-long learning processes among young children in facing real life’s challenges in the future. Application for transformative leadership within one’s own educational institutions and related organizations is very challenging. One needs to fit in with what the community wants. There are a lot of issues to be considered, but as human beings, let us just take into consideration that we cannot please everybody. Just take into consideration that decisions should be participatory and collaborative in manner.

Performing teachers and personnel, are those who start with where their students are, know where their students are going, expect to get their students to their goal, expect to support their students along the way, use constructive criticism to help them and their students get better, focus on quality rather than quantity, and never work harder than their students.
