
BOHOL’s provincial government earned recognition from the Civil Service Commission (CSC) for its participation in the 126th Philippine Civil Service Anniversary celebration.
The CSC presented the Provincial Government of Bohol (PGBh) with a Certificate of Appreciation on September 30, 2026, in Cebu City, recognizing its valuable contribution to the nationwide celebration.
Provincial Human Resource Management And Development Office (PHRMDO) Officer-in-Charge Katrina Maria Retutal announced the recognition during the awarding ceremony held after Monday morning’s flag-raising ceremony at the Capitol Grounds.
Gov. Aris Aumentado led the ceremony and thanked PGBh employees for their active participation, efforts, and cooperation that contributed to the success of the celebration. He also announced a ₱10,000 allocation for each department in recognition of their efforts.
The 126th PCSA activities brought together provincial government employees in sports, e-games, cultural, and performance competitions.
Among the highlights were the Social Environmental Cluster’s basketball championship, Infrastructure Cluster’s Mobile Legends: Bang Bang and Hip-Hop Dance titles, and Development Administration Cluster’s victories in Call of Duty: Mobile and Battle of the Bands.
The Development Administration Cluster also produced Miss PGBh 2026 Desiree Gerenia, who won the crown along with Best in Q&A and Talent.
Other individual winners included Aldrian John Añana in Doble Kara and John Kerk Orosco in Your Face Sounds Familiar.
Employees also competed in pickleball tournaments and the 10K Lingkod Bayani Run 2026, where Salvia Talago of the President Carlos P. Garcia Memorial Hospital emerged first.
The celebration was organized by the 126th PCSA Coordinators, cluster heads, committees, and key working offices under the Governor’s Office, with support from Vice Gov. Nick Besas, Board Members Tita Baja, Dionisio Joseph Balite, Nathaniel Binlod, Romulo Cepedoza, and Lucille Lagunay, as well as the Bohol Provincial Employees League (BOPEL) and Bohol Association of Women in Government Service (BAWIGS).
The CSC recognition highlights PGBh’s participation in the celebration, fostering purpose-driven employees underscored in the Strategic Change Agenda, by showcasing their talents, sportsmanship, and camaraderie in public service in Bohol, a UNESCO Global Geopark. (PIMO/JFP)
