Mayor Yap Leads Distribution of Free PE Uniforms
Tagbilaran City Mayor Jane Yap led the distribution of free physical education (PE) uniforms to students of Cabawan Elementary School on September 28, 2026.
The activity was held as part of the city’s celebration of its 60th Charter Year and the 34th National Family Week.
The initiative aims to provide additional support to public school students while helping ease the financial burden on their parents and families.
Mayor Yap personally distributed the PE uniforms to the students, highlighting the City Government’s continued support for education and its efforts to respond to the needs of Tagbilaranon families.
The distribution is part of the city government’s broader education programs designed to help students meet their school requirements and enable parents to manage education-related expenses.
After the initial distribution at Cabawan Elementary School, students from other public elementary schools across Tagbilaran City are also expected to receive free PE uniforms in the coming days.
The program also complemented the celebration of National Family Week, which recognizes the important role of families in the development and well-being of children and communities.
Through programs such as the provision of free PE uniforms, the City Government seeks to bring education assistance closer to families and reinforce its commitment to supporting the city’s young learners.
