I NOTICED some pisbok posts urging former CabSec Toloy Evasco to run for governor of Bohol in 2028. The posts seem to beg for his indulgence, as if they are really “begging,” yes begging, for him to consider running again for the top position in the province after he miserably failed to clinch it because ArtYap instead “stole” the crown in that election in 2019.
Of course, this is known as a “fishing expedition,” as in “testing the political waters” long before the election in 2028. The initiators are only waiting for any reaction from the madlang pipol, kon mokagat, good, kon dili, also good.
But the fact is, it could be just that, just an attempt to goad him to run, spend money for his campaign and talk to the mayors of Bohol again.
Testing-testing lang usa before the real thing goes full blast.
Pwede nga this was done with the knowledge of Toloy, pwede sab nga without his knowledge.
But for sure, his die-hard kibitzers would go active once they see the posts, as in, nakalitan lang sila at first and would try “to spread the word around” right away.

From my perch, there are realities that need to be considered.
When Toloy ran for governor in 2019, it was the height of PRRDs popularity, as in gyod. His words were like magic then, everybody listened and agreed unconditionally, the expletives and all that considered.
It was like asking for the moon for an “opposition” candidate to even consider running against a perceived “very close” to PRRD and who was also considered as PRRD’s “ears and eyes in Bohol” kuno. But ArtYap did, even when he was considered as Toloy’s opposite, when it comes to the issue of “closeness” to PRRD.
Pundits even said mora ka’g nagpakong sa imong ulo ana kon mo-kontra kang Toloy Evasco nga “maoy tawo” ni PRRD sa Bohol unya si PRRD maoy presidente.
Despite of that, ArtYap went on to challenge Toloy on his turf kunohay.
Tiaw bay gi-consider si Toloy nga maoy nakapa-daog ni PRRD sa Bohol, unya maoy imong kontrahon pagka-gobernador?
Yes, pagka-na lang gyod.

But Toloy lost and ArtYap went on to sungkit the crown from Toloy.
And plenty of stories from the field erupted like Taal Volcano days and weeks from the elections.
Talks like – asa na man tong gisaad nga “ayuda” sa mga mayor, hasta ag para sa ubang mga kandidato nga bola-bola man lang tong baba sa iyang mga tawo sa panahon pa sa kampanya nga napulos pasalig ra ba to sila?
There were also talks like – asa na man tong kwarta sa marino nga dako-dako man kuno ang gihatag para sa Bohol? Or, nganong wa man gipanghatag ang kwarta sa marino?
And later, talks like – nganong wa na man magpakita si Toloy o bisan mopasabot na lang unta sa mga mayor nga iyang gipangsaaran ra ba to, labi na kadtong mga mayor nga nanga-pildi sab – also came out.
And there were no answers. And nobody attempted to provide answers too.
Morag, basta ba lang nga gidawat ra dayon ang iyang kapildehan bisan kon lisod tuhoan.
Kay tiaw bay “lumad” taga-Bohol versus dili taga-Bohol ang nagsangka unya naparot sa kapildihan ug kaalaotan ang “lumad.”
Lisora kaayo ispilingon oi.
Unya karon, padaganon og usab?

But there’s a catch kunohay.
Maong padaganon kunohay kay “close” kuno si Toloy ni Inday Sara unya Governor Aris is perceived to be BBM’s guy in Bohol. Toloy kuno can “ride on” with the popularity of Inday Sara while Gov Aris has to “suffer” the “bangag” reputation of BBM.
So, kinsa may pabor or dehado ana beh?

Kon wa ma-translate sa kadaogan ni Toloy ang iyang “closeness” ni PRRD kaniadtong 2019, ma-translate pa diay na karong 2028 ang iyang “closeness” to Inday Sara kunohay aron modaog siya?
Unya dihay nangutana – unsay nahimo ni Toloy sa Bohol kaniadtong CabSec pa siya, especially after so many “sessions” with Bohol Mayors and his staff from Manila unya gipang-saaran silang mga mayor nga matuman ang ilang gusto mahitabo human sila pangayoi sa ilang mga “pending”?
