
TAGBILARAN CITY – The Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) has turned over 12 mechanical ventilators worth over P13 million to at least five (5) provincial-owned-and-managed hospitals across Bohol during the fitting rites at the New Captiol, this city, March 20, 2026.
The turnover was led by general manager Melquiades Robles and Gov. Aris Aumentado, who both signed the donation documents as witnessed by officials and hospital doctors and other sectors. Robles also donated a cheque worth Php277,940.92 as charity fund and received by the governor.
Six (6) units of the mechanical ventilators for Cong. Garcia Memorial hospital in Talibon town; three (3) FOR Cong. Teodoro Galagar Memorial Hospital, Jagna; one (1) unit each for Catigbian District Hospital, Catigbian; Francisco Dagohoy Memorial Hospital, Inabanga town; and Cong. Simeon Toribio Memorial hospital, Carmen town.
Gov. Aumentado, in his speech, jokingly asked in gist the people to buy more sweepstakes tickets for more PCSO charity works.
He also asked Robles for sea ambulance units instead of providing local government units with mobile units for sea, as there are some towns having several island barangays. And Robles seemingly approved the idea while listening to the governor’s speech.
Robles bared that PCSO has extended as support for healthcare as almost all of the 47 towns and a city have already a PCSO-donated ambulance units.
The provincial government, aside from the governor was represented by Provl Legal Officer Atty. Handel Lagunay and the governor’s chief of staff Atty. Filipina Piollo and the hospital sector was by Dr. Emma Perpetua Cahatol, hospital division head, Provincial Health Office, PCSO Asst. Gen. manager Atty. Lauro A.
