
THE City Government of Tagbilaran, under the leadership of Mayor Jane Yap, distributed uniforms and essential supplies to its delegation for the upcoming Central Visayas Regional Athletic Association (CVIRAA) Meet 2026 during a ceremony held on March 18, 2026 at the Saulog Gym.
Over 600 delegates, composed of athletes, coaches, trainers, and chaperones, received complete provisions as part of the city’s preparation for the regional competition set on March 22 to 28, 2026 in Naga City, Cebu.
Mayor Yap led the distribution, underscoring the city’s continued support for its athletes as they prepare to represent Tagbilaran in the annual regional meet.
“We want our athletes to focus on their performance and represent the city with pride. This support reflects our commitment to ensure they are well-prepared and properly equipped for the competition,” Yap said.
Each participant received a full set of uniforms, including a T-shirt, jogging pants, jacket, cap, and shoes, along with sport-specific playing uniforms.
Delegates were also provided with personal essentials such as towels, toiletries, and varsity bags.
In addition, the city government will provide training allowances, meals and vitamins throughout the duration of the event.
Sleeping materials, including bed linens, portamats, pillows, and blankets, will also be distributed to ensure the delegation’s comfort.
The CVIRAA Meet is a prestigious annual sporting event that brings together the best young athletes from Region 7, competing in various disciplines for a chance to advance to the Palarong Pambansa.
With the strong backing of the Tagbilaran City Government, the delegation is poised to showcase their talents and make the city proud.
