THE Sangguniang Panlalawigan has honoured the Department of Education and a Carmen resident nurse working in Texas, USA for their respective feats garnered thru sheer but outstanding performance.
Provincial Board Member Nathaniel O. Binlod has brought to the attention of his colleagues on the feats of the DepEd–Bohol Schools Division naming it the Most Outstanding Large Division in Region VII.
Thus, the provincial board approved a resolution recognizing and congratulating the department of education–Bohol schools division for being named the most outstanding large division in Region VII, and commending Dr. Fay C. Luarez for her exemplary leadership.
Binlod in his privilege speech during the first session of the board said that under Luarez’s leadership, the “Division has consistently demonstrated excellence in governance, instructional leadership, and learner outcomes” that must be recognized.
The SP also approved a separate Resolution honoring Ms. Arlene G. Painagan, a Carmenanon and Boholana lawyer, for her outstanding achievement as one of the best 25 nurses in South Central Texas by the San Antonio nursing consortium. She was selected from over 700 nominees across the State of Texas. This also is sponsored by Binlod.
Provincial Board Member Atty. Jamie Villamor confirmed that indeed Painagan is a lawyer, who, in the words of BM DJ Balite, is a graduate of law in BIT International College.
Painagan currently serves as Chief Nursing Officer of Cedar Hills Behavioral Hospital in San Antonio, Texas, United States of America.
“Her achievement brings honor and pride to the Province of Bohol and stands as a testament to the competence, compassion, and global competitiveness of Boholano healthcare professionals. She serves as an inspiration to aspiring nurses and healthcare workers, both here and abroad,” Binlod said. (Ric Obedencio)
