Bohol’s November inflation slightly higher than October: 1.6% INFLATION

BOHOL’s headline inflation stood at 1.6 percent in November 2025, slightly higher than the 1.0 percent posted in October, according to the latest report from the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA)–Bohol.

Despite this movement, the province continues to record the lowest inflation rate in Central Visayas, reflecting stable price conditions compared to regional and national levels.

The update was delivered by Chief Statistical Specialist Jessamyn Anne Alcazaren during the PSA’s monthly press conference on Friday, December 12, 2025.

With the new figures, Bohol’s average inflation from January to November 2025 now stands at 1.9 percent.

The province’s November inflation rate is 1.7 percentage points lower than the Central Visayas regional average of 3.3 percent, underscoring its comparative resilience amid fluctuating market conditions nationwide.

Food inflation in Bohol also remained in negative territory at –3.1 percent, far lower than the 4.0 percent posted in November 2024.

For the Bottom 30 percent income households, inflation was recorded at –2.6 percent, slightly higher than –3.4 percent in October but still substantially lower than the 3.2 percent registered in the same month last year.

Bohol remains committed to maintaining a stable economic environment by supporting food security, strengthening local markets, and promoting sustainable development. As the Philippines’ first and only UNESCO Global Geopark, the province continues to implement measures that uphold community well-being and protect its natural heritage. (PIMO/MAPI)
