The Duero District: Celebrating Teachers’ Day and SALUDO 2025, with the theme” “Celebrating Service, Embracing Growth, Empowering the Future”, is organized to honor and appreciate the tireless efforts of teachers who have consistently demonstrated competence, resilience, and service with commitment, despite the challenges of the evolving educational system. This celebration provides an avenue to express gratitude, acknowledge outstanding performance, and highlight the achievements of educators who have significantly contributed to the district’s success.
Moreover, SALUDO 2025 serves as a platform to formally recognize exemplary teachers and personnel whose dedication has gone beyond the call of duty. Through this recognition, the district aims to inspire a culture of excellence, professionalism, and collaboration among educators.
Ultimately, this activity strengthens camaraderie, promotes well-being, and reaffirms the district’s commitment to valuing teachers as catalysts of change and nation-builders, ensuring sustained quality education for all learners in the Duero District.
This one-day activity was conducted at Bugnaw Si-E Resort, Anda, Bohol, on December 11, 2025. It started with the grand entrance , followed by the Tricolor, and Prayer led by Maria Jenna R. Ligtas, School Principal, Guinsularan ES. Opening Remarks was given by Rosanna R. Salise, Central School Principal.
Hon Mayor Al C. Taculod, Vice Mayor Hernes A. Bajao, and SB Member Education Committee Chair, Jennifer C. Taculod, expressed their Christmas Messages to Duero teaching and non-teaching personnel.
Public Schools District Supervisor, Dr. Jocelyn C. Paje and SDO Bohol Education Program Supervisor in Values Education, Ma. Maya V. Tumalon PhD,MDM, gave their messages.
Awarding of outstanding accomplishments of teachers with their school leaders and recognizing service-awardees were part of the events’ highlights. A mass dance was provided. Closing Remarks was expressed by Marilyn A. Llido, ESP of San Isidro Elementary School, Duero District. The activity was hosted by Malyn A. Berro and Jaymark Ladesma. It is noted that the activity was funded through the gender and development funds with the able connection of the District’s GAD Coordinator, Dr. Margarita S. Licayan.
