GIPAHIBAW ni Congw. Alexie Tutor ngadto sa mga ‘plumbers’ ug alang sa mga mokuha og Master Plumber Board Exam nga ang Ubos Balay Balauranan gi-trabaho na ang House Bill 8569.
Ang HB 8569 ang pagsaka sa ‘plumbing profession’ ngadto na sa ‘engineering profession’.
“A technical committee was tasked to iron out some provisions and harmonize the bill with those of related professions such as sanitary engineering,” suma pa sa Chairperson sa House Committee on Civil Service and Professional Regulations nga si Congw. Alexie.
“I first give credit to my friend and colleague Congresswoman Atty. Margarita Nograles, who filed HB 8659 because she had the vision to improve the lives of thousands of master plumbers and community-based plumbers by repealing Republic Act 1378 which became law in 1955 and amended in 1959,” dugang pa niya.
“The Plumbing Law has been in effect for nearly 70 years. It is more than obsolete. It is long overdue for repeal. This law is as old as the leaking pipes nationwide laid into the ground after World War II,” suma pa sa kongresista.
