IN A continued effort to prioritize healthcare accessibility, the City Government of Tagbilaran, led by Mayor Jane Yap, has brought mobile health services directly to senior citizens during their barangay meetings.
The Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility spearheaded the initiative, offering medical consultations, basic health assessments, and preventive care tailored to the elderly.
The mobile health services were rolled out across multiple barangays on the following dates: January 28 in Taloto, January 29 in Mansasa, January 30 in Lindaville, and January 31 in both Cogon and Cabawan.
Mayor Jane Yap personally attended the activities where she reaffirmed her administration’s commitment to improving the health and well-being of senior citizens.
“We understand the unique challenges our elderly face in accessing healthcare. By bringing these services directly to them, we’re not only addressing these challenges but also reinforcing our commitment to their welfare,” Mayor Yap said.
Senior citizens expressed gratitude for the initiative, sharing how the program made accessing healthcare more convenient.
Many acknowledged the city’s proactive approach in delivering essential services to the community’s most vulnerable members.
Mayor Yap commended the efforts of the Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility led by City Health Officer Dr. Jeia Pondoc for their dedication and highlighted the importance of programs that bridge gaps in healthcare delivery.
