Save Water. Water Is Life!

THE Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration ( PAGASA ) which is the national meteorological and hydrological services agency of the Philippines announced the official start of the dry season of year 2022. PAGASA advised the Filipinos to expect and prepare for a hot and humid summer season. They also advised everyone to save water this time of the summer season. It is because water can easily evaporate during summer season when this time is really hot.

According to Britannica.Com, Water is a substance composed of chemical elements hydrogen and oxygen and existing in gaseous, liquid and solid states. It is one of the most plentiful and essential of compounds. It is a tasteless and odourless liquid at room temperature and it has the important ability to dissolve many other substances. Indeed, the versatility of water as a solvent is essential to all living organisms of the world.

Everyone must save water. It is simply because we need water every day and we cannot survive without water. Indeed, water is life. We should not waste water and we should also give proper importance to water because it is really essential for our existence. Getting enough water is important for our health. Drinking water can prevent dehydration which is a condition that can cause some ill effects to our body. So, we should value water since it is a great help to everyone.

According to doconline.com, water is an extremely important part of our lives. It is used for irrigation, cooking, washing, cleaning, drinking and among others. Water is essential for maintaining good health as it helps in regulating body temperature, carries out normal functioning of the different organs of our body, aids in our digestion system and removes toxins from our body. Absolutely, water is life!

It is right and proper to save water because every person needs water to survive. Conserving water means to use water wisely and responsibly. If we save water it can minimize the effects of drought and water shortages, it can help to preserve our environment, it can build safe and beautiful communities and it can help each one of us in our day to day living. So, let us save water.

There are plenty of simple ways that we can do in order to save water. For instance, we can recycle the water we used for washing clothes in flushing the toilet; we must turn off the faucet when brushing our teeth; we can take shower shortly and turn off the water when applying soap and shampoo; we can turn off the faucet when applying dishwashing paste or liquid when washing our dishes; we can water our plants early in the morning or late in the afternoon to reduce evaporation; we can check our faucet and water pipes if there are leaks and we can also reuse our bath water in watering our plants and flowers. These are just some of the different ways that we can do in order to save water.

Everybody must be saving water in their own little ways, we should be helping one another in saving water. The government officials must also craft some policies regarding the conservation of water, every citizen must also be supporting all the government programs and policies on water conservation. In our respective homes, we should also have our very own water conservation activities which can help in the conservation of water in one way or another. There must be a collaboration between government officials and the citizens of our country in conserving water. In other words, each one of us must be doing his or her part in saving water. We should save water because water is life.
