IF there is escalation of hostilities in Ukraine right now following Russia’s latest move to use an experimental hypersonic medium range non-nuclear ballistic missiles, so too in Philippine politics involving the President and Vice President.
Reports said VP Sara Duterte-Carpio intervened in the service of a detention order for her chief of staff upon orders from the House of Representatives (HOR). The HOR wanted the detained OVP personnel be transferred from the HOR premises to a correctional facility and this was questioned by VP Sara.
There was a commotion and during the presscon VP Sara uttered an “active threat” against BBM, the first lady and Speaker Martin Romualdez in the event she was killed saying that she had hired a killer to do it.
This was taken as an active threat or an actionable threat.
Misabat pod dayon ang mga kaalyadong kongresista and right now, there is an on-going verbal and visual fiesta on social media.

On one side are VP loyalists who are singing all kinds of batikos against the present administration.
On the other side are admin loyalists who see in her an abusive politician who wants to stand above the law and showed utter disrespect to the authority of the HOR.
This latest drama is just one of the climaxes in the ongoing House probe on the OVP’s confidential funds for years 2022 and 2023.
That probe is also being questioned because many thought the good government committee is now acting like the COA but unlike the COA, it has contempt powers to boot.
Anybody who answers differently is a prime candidate for contempt and therefore, imprisonment.
And there is that ongoing probe too of PRRD for his war on drugs.
In other words, amahan ug anak nga Duterte na ang nakasalang sa House probes.
Unsa kahay mo-resulta ani?

Whatever happens to VP Sara, I doubt if she would ask help from netizens. Why?
That is typical Inday Sara. She fights her own war, she stands for her principles and does not want to be a burden to others.
Recall that time when she appeared before the infamous “Quimbo Committee” and former president GMA was there and tried to contribute her mind to her defense. Inday Sara was seen on video whispering something to her during the break and when asked what she did, she said she asked GMA not to be stressed about the proceedings, and things like that.
She also displayed the same attitude when she absented herself from this year’s SONA and attended instead the wake of former VG Victor Balite in BIT-Dao. She said she understood the reluctance of local chief executives to go near her for fear that they too would be in trouble with preventive suspension.
She even discouraged one provincial commander from having a picture with her kay basin madamay ka nako PD, she quipped.

Poll candidates always invent gimmicks to attract attention from the public.
Recall that candidate who always danced the boogie or chacha with her husband during campaign sorties, she very cute and he very big and chubby. But it worked and she won the elections.
Then there was this candidate for the provincial board who refused to deliver speeches but instead rendered a passionate song. It too worked and he won.
Of course, not all of these gimmicks worked. Recall that candidate who always sang an old Pinoy love song during campaign sorties or have that music played while waiting for her. And the same candidate who used to recall his conversation with Lord God every morning, reportedly telling her that she would win. Both gimmicks didn’t work because she miserably lost in both elections.
Now, there is this candidate for city council who thought he would have a good winning chance if he joined a fraternity, not just an honorary member but a real active one. So what he did, he allowed himself to be subjected to the usual initiation rites saying “nagpa-paddle gyod ko like other applicants, mao mi-reklamo ako asawa nga og wa matiguwang, mao pay pag-apil apil anang bunal bunal og kahoy sa paa,” while showing the violet patch of skin on his legs.
Mao nay giingon kanhi nga kon Agusto na gani, mao nay ting-bitay og iro unya og ting-election na, mao poy ting-gawas og mga buang.
