A PUBLIC Schools District Supervisor provides guidance and instructional supervision to school heads by observing and gathering information on their strengths and development needs, and then coaching them to improved instructional leadership practices. Supervisors of public school districts are responsible for a variety of tasks, including instructional management, which deals with how the PSDS implements and oversees educational policies, standardizes practices for utilizing educational resources, and provides crucial assistance for the development, production, and distribution of educational materials at the school level.

As the head of schools, PSDSs brought up several difficulties surrounding supervision, including the lack of a supervisory handbook in the organization, the head of school’s enormous workload from daily responsibilities, and the teachers’ negative attitudes toward monitoring. Furthermore, not enough money was set up to support responsibilities connected to oversight. It is difficult to bounce back from a bad start if staff members feel obligated to coach their superior, particularly in supervisory jobs. unclear roles and responsibilities. Inconsistent instructions or competing demands regarding deadlines, objectives, or deliverable may be the cause of these challenges and concerns.

DepEd Order No. 52, s., the Department of Education (DepEd) implemented the Rationalization Program in an attempt to address the pressing need for a high-quality education and to enhance the caliber and effectiveness of government services. 2015, with the title The Department of Education’s New Organizational Structure for the Central, Regional, and Schools Division. On November 15, 2013, the Department of Budget and Management (DBM) adopted the Rationalization Plan.

The offices’ streamlined staffing schedule and organizational structure were approved as well. at the levels of the school division, the region, and the center.  Supervisors of public school districts now have the chance to alter their work procedures thanks to the DepEd’s Rationalization Program.

The primary focus of the PSDSs’ responsibilities and goals these days is instructional supervision. Because of their previous roles, it’s possible that the changes in their career will expose them to new experiences. There will also inevitably be ambiguity regarding the tasks assigned to the PSDSs. It specifically aimed to answer the following main question: How do PSDSs who are participants describe their experiences in carrying out DepEd projects and programs? The purpose of this study was to investigate the real-world experiences of a subset of public school district supervisors in a Philippine school division.

This is the main reason why, as a public schools district supervisor, the researcher, conducted this research to determine the live experiences of the public schools district supervisors so that data-driven and needs-based policy will be developed and adopted to address the gaps in the field and in managing schools. Results of the study will be published in one of the coming issues of Bohol Times.
