Aumentado reminds Boholanos of the spirit of Lent

AUMENTADO

SECOND District Representative Erico Aristotle “Aris” C. Aumentado has expressed his hope that Boholanos around the world will have this Lenten season as a time for reflection and peace amid a “rather chaotic world”.

In a statement released by the congressman, he reminded everyone that this time of the year is the chance in which we will not only slow down from the hustle and bustle of daily life but also a period in which we commemorate the ultimate sacrifice that the Son of God has done for all of us.

“The passion, death, and resurrection of our Lord Jesus Christ have reminded us that even with the hardships we face in our daily lives, there is always hope for us to rise and be stronger than before,” the solon said in his statement.

He also urged everyone to contemplate the life of our Savior, which he said is a reflection of what selfless love for others is.

“The story of his life and death has shown us that serving others goes beyond actions alone. We should also have the heart and the passion to offer ourselves unto others and show what true service and sacrifice means,” he added.

In conclusion, Aumentado wished everyone a meaningful and safe Holy Week amid the continued onslaught of the COVID-19 pandemic and the effects of Typhoon Odette still felt in some areas of the province.

“May we see the light that will bring us all to a better tomorrow ahead. This moment of renewal is an opportunity for us to become better individuals even if we are still facing the COVID-19 pandemic and we are still rising from the destruction caused by Typhoon Odette,” the legislator remarked.
