WHILE I was waiting for the PDIC liquidators to process my documents, I noticed some posters and notices on the wall. But one poster that got my attention the most was the notice that says… ”protect your money, deposit in the bank….”
That “iconic” notice must have convinced so many to deposit their money in the bank, and they did.
Hopeful, and thinking that they did the right decision – only to lose them because of some shenanigan of the bank manager, and probably with the connivance of the previous chairman of the board.

Many are seething with anger because of the great loss. Great plans, and great hopes for a stable and secured future are now in limbo, as in gone with the wind.
Many are contemplating of filing cases in court because they could not allow the sanamagan manager to profit from their hard-earned money.
But what to do?
They have no access to documents so how can they prove the financial brutality of the manager?
An irate depositor could only say – “ma-karma ra lagi to siya attorney. Tiaw bay daghana siya og gibiktima.”
Amen to that.

Another depositor was thoroughly regretful.

I watched the senate budget hearing of the Office of the Vice President on teleradyo so I heard how the VP answered the questions propounded by the overtly hostile female members of the appro committee.
She repeated 3 times her answer “…she may not….”
And the bored listeners/viewers immediately made a parody of her statement with the “shimenet” meme.
Parehas pod ni sa bag-ong pangadye nga “blessen are you among women and blessen is the fruit of thy womb Jesus.”

Let us shift to local politics.
I was listening to the animated discussion of some local politicians.
The topic was about the 1st congressional battle next year.
One said, sa panahon nga siyay mayor sa Tagbilaran, si Mayor Baba maoy chairman sa National Unity Party (NUP) sa Bohol. Karon nga dili na siya ang mayor, si Congressman Edgar Chatto na ang chairman.
Bitaw, sagbat ang ka-storya. Unsaon na man lang na niya ron nga gibabagan man daw siya sa iyang kaatbang.
Mao bitaw sab nay akong nadungog, dili kuno siya kasud sa Partido Federal hasta sa Lakas kay gibabagan daw ni Cong Edgar.
Asa na man kaha nga partido na si Mayor Baba, ug si Mayor Jean inig file nila og COC, was the question that floated.
