3 Miss Bohol ’24 candidates chosen
For Darling of the Press finalists

THE Bohol press has chosen the top three candidates for Darling of the Press award among Miss Bohol 2024 bets during the press conference yesterday at the Ceremonial Hall, New Capitol, Tagbilaran City.

Miss G-Hernandez Carl Joellie Tejano Tentativa, 23, a licensed nurse here and New York, Miss Guindulman Marie Ampong Igcalinos, 23, and English major graduate in BSE and Miss Tagbilaran Flaviona Cana Joaquin, 20, a 2nd year Nutrition student were the top three favorite of the of the press based on the way they answer during the question-and-answer segment.

Other candidates are Miss Anda Ange Joyce G. Amper, 18; Miss Dauis Angel Ann L. Calimbayan, 22; Miss Duero Aaliyah Izza Felisilda Sebumpan, 17; Miss Jagna Elah Merari Lagrido, 22;Miss Loboc Earlgen Abedejos Bucog, 21; Miss Pilar Jacel Joy L. Argawanon, 20; Miss San Isidro Nikah Isabelle Bagsac, 19; Miss Sevilla Michelle Mae T. Cabagnot, 18; Miss Sikatuna Airah Kim Deguinon, 20; Miss Talibon Nikki Lofranco, 22; Miss Tubigon Mariel Dianne Corbeta Ybanez, 21; Miss Ubay Kathline Faith Patanpatan Siason, 17; and Miss Valencia Dhanica Faith Doldolia, 23.

In her short speech, congresswoman Vanessa C. Aumentado (2nd district, Bohol) gave unsolicited advise to the pageant hopefuls to “Be yourself” and experience the beauty and joy being a participant.

Aumentado, the former beauty title holder after she assumed as Miss Bohol in 2001, said that she gained friends from the experience she had in participating the Miss Bohol 2001. Be a role model, she added.

Former Miss Bohol Melanie Wallace was then 16 years old when she wore the Miss Bohol tiara in 2000, agreed with Aumentado to “be yourself.”

And she reminded the hopefuls not to forget the people who helped them, adding that to know their families and friends in their journey to pageantry.

Miss Bohol chairperson Anna Loinda Saluan in her short message thanked her team, Aumentado and the media and those who in one way another help the event successful.

The Darling of the Press winner will be announced on July 12, during the coronation night at the Bohol Wisdom gym.

Mr. Raul Gatal hosted the program. Gatal announced that the Boholana, a showcase of models in the persons of the candidates and fashion designer with their couture will be held in Jagna Cultural Center on June 7, 2024. (rvo)
