TUBIGON town’s Miss Mater Dei College 2024 Kyla Suaybaguio bats for free education for all especially the out-of-school youth, which she said is her advocacy.
“I could say that that if I could give a recommendation to our President, it would be to create a program, such as would be education for all, which mainly focuses on the out-of-school youth.” This was probably her winning answer that catapulted her as the new queen of the school.
“What recommendations can you propose for the president of the country to give preference for the improvement of the life of the Filipinos?”
Suaybaguio, a second year nursing student, said that she grew up in the family which value the education most.
She stressed that the out-of-school youth may be out of the school but they are not out of hope.
“It’s never too late for them to realize that education is our basic necessity. We have to step up even higher in reaching the peak of our curiosity for it is different to live at a life without knowledge at all,” she said.
Short of saying that knowledge is power, Suaybaguio said that the “main reason why we are here is for us to be able to face the future confidently and be an instrument of change for the better.”
