TAGBILARAN City Science High School (TCSHS) has emerged as a beacon of academic excellence, securing top honors in the National Achievement Test (NAT) for Grade 10 during the school year 2022-2023.

The school not only claimed the prestigious title of being THE NUMBER ONE performing school in the entire Region 7 (Central Visayas), but also attained an impressive sixth position at the national level.

Mayor Jane Yap expressed her commendation for the outstanding achievement of TCSHS students, hailing them as academic trailblazers.

She also extended her appreciation to the City Schools Division, led by Division Superintendent Dr. Wilfreda Bongalos, for their dedicated efforts in fostering an environment that nurtures excellence in education.

“The remarkable success of Tagbilaran City Science High School is a testament to the dedication and hard work of both students and educators. It showcases the city’s commitment to providing quality education and promoting academic brilliance,” Mayor Yap remarked.

The NAT G10 Exam is a crucial component of the K to 12 Basic Education Program’s national assessment framework.

It evaluates whether Grade 10 learners meet the learning standards of the Junior High School curriculum.

The test assesses problem-solving, information literacy, and critical thinking in English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino, and Araling Panlipunan.

Tagbilaran City Science High School’s remarkable achievement not only reflects the school’s dedication to academic excellence but also solidifies its reputation as a premier educational institution in Central Visayas.
