Nature is widely-devastated by dangerous human activities. And what the world is experiencing today is the outcome of the wrongdoings, maybe, by each one of us.
In the Philippines, politicians and businessmen have ruined and still ruining the environment.
Flash floods, soil erosion and everything made by nature are due to harmful human activities mostly by cutting down of trees in the mountains and forests.
Here in Bohol, there are government officials who are non-stop in destructing the environment.
What is worst is that there are no clear punishments being made against those who treated with ill against Mother Nature.
And despite the call of the people to stop these illegal activities stealthily executed by powerful individuals, they are unfazed. Still.
Some of the sentiments of the Boholano people believe that greedy politicians and businessmen here are in connivance.
If they become successful, this will be unfavorable to the Boholanos. The people will be much affected.
We have leaders who love the people, who love God, who love our country and our dearest Bohol, but we only have few leaders who have the guts to love, care and protect the environment.
Let us remember that protecting nature, is protecting the lives of the people. (Wilson Auguis Subrio)
