Additionally, Mayor Jane Yap’s leadership has been recognized by the RP Mission and Development Foundation Inc., naming her one of the Top 2 City Mayors in Central Visayas.
Tagbilaran City has also been distinguished with the Most Business-Friendly LGU Award by the Philippine Chamber of Commerce and Industry (PCCI) at the City Level 3 – Component City category, emphasizing its dedication to creating a conducive environment for businesses. In the realm of public service, the city achieved a notable rating of 88.17% in the 2022 Child Friendly Local Governance Audit, underlining its commitment to child-friendly governance.
Recognized for financial excellence, Tagbilaran City received the Top Revenue Generation and Local Assessment award from the Bureau of Local Government Finance & Association of Local Treasurers and Assessors Region 7.
Moreover, the city’s exemplary practices in health governance were acknowledged with the 2022 LGU Good Practices in Health Award by the Department of Health Region 7.
The commitment to public health was further underscored by being among the Top 5 LGUs with the Highest Coverage of the 2023 Measles Rubella and Bivalent Oral Poliovirus Vaccine Supplemental Immunization Activity Campaign, recognized by the Department of Health Region 7.
Demonstrating commitment to the anti-drug campaign, Tagbilaran City’s Anti-Drug Abuse Council (ADAC) was lauded for its high functionality, garnering an impressive 93 points during the ADAC Performance Audit.
Maintaining peace and order, Tagbilaran City’s Peace and Order Council received recognition during the 2022 Peace and Order Council Performance Audit. In the realm of digital innovation and empowerment, Tagbilaran City received a National Recognition for Excellence in Digital Innovation & Digital Empowerment from GCash.
The city’s disaster risk reduction and management efforts were highlighted with the Gawad Kalasag Seal of Excellence Awardee by the National Disaster Risk & Management Council.
Mayor Yap and Chief of Staff John Geesnell Yap II were both honored with the distinguished Outstanding Public Servant award by World Class Philippines 2023.
