The right to suffrage is enshrined in the 1987 Philippine Constitution for us Filipinos to pick our choice of leaders to govern us.
Every election is a chance for us to choose the right leaders who will lead us during their term.
But what a sad reality is it that some, if not most of us, sell our votes when elections come.
Selling our vote is one of the mortal sins embodied in the supreme law of the land.
And selling our vote is depriving or waiving our rights to complain to the wrong leaders we chose, because we are being paid.
Progress and development can only be achieved through clean governance and good leadership.
But how can we expect good leadership and good leaders if we choose money over them?
After the elections, we will face the consequences of our actions, good or bad. The decision is in your hands.
If we want this country to rise again from bad governance, choose the good, productive and competent leaders. (Wilson Auguis Subrio)
