CONGRESSWOMAN Vanessa C. Aumentado (2nd district) has informed aspiring College students in the district of the scholarship with financial subsidy which her office has provided for the purpose.
“Duna tay gi allocate nga 200 slots para sa Tulong-Dunong Program (TDP) under CHED. Pasabot makahatag ta ug scholarship or subsidy amounting to 7,500pesos per sem or 15k pesos per year,” she said in her facebook post recently.
(We have allocated 200 scholarship slots under the tulong-Dulong Program of the Commission on Higher Education withP7,500.00/semester).
The qualified students are those enrolled in State colleges and universities, like the Bohol Island State University, or CHED-recognized local universities and colleges and private higher educational institutions under CHED registry of program and Institution, like the Holy Name University, University of Bohol and BIT International College, she said.
She urged interested applicants to contact her staff members – Richel Lechir M Ochar, Chief of Staff Edgar del Rosario, and Political Affairs Officer 3 Donglee Camacho for inquiries.
Since there are limited slots offered, first come, first serve is the policy, she said.
The following requirements are to be submitted at the Congresswoman’s office, Ground floor, New Capitol Building, Tagb. City:
(1.) Accomplished TDP-TES Application Form;
(2.) Certified True Copy of Certificate of Registration or Enrolment of First Sem AY 2023-2024; and
(3.) Certificate of Indigency as proof of income duly signed by the Punong Barangay where the applicant resides.
She assured the prospective scholars to expand the educational program next year by allocating more funds. (rvo)
