Tagbilaran City Government employees
show volunteerism for City’s Charter Day

IN celebration of the 57th Charter Day of Tagbilaran, the employees of the City Government participated in volunteer activities from June 16 to 30, 2023.

The initiative aims to give back to the City of Tagbilaran services like cleaning and greening in specific areas across the city.

The City Accountant’s Office, City Engineer’s Office, and Tagbilaran City Primary Care Facility conducted a clean-up activity at the Tagbilaran City Friendship Park.

Cleaning and greening activities were undertaken by the City Administrator’s Office, City Assessor’s Office, City Civil Registrar’s Office, City Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office, City Human Resource Management and Development Office and City General Services Office at the Rajah Sikatuna Street island and plant box.

The Sangguniang Panlungsod, City Budget Office, City Economic Enterprise, City Planning and Development Office, City Treasurer’s Office, and DILG cleaned the areas around the Tagbilaran City Central Public Market TCCPM, Green Park and parking areas around the Tourism Building. The areas around the Integrated Bus Terminal were cleaned by the City Mayor’s Office, City Legal Office, and City Social Welfare and Development Office.

The City Agriculture and Veterinary Office, City Economic Enterprise-Causeway, Tagbilaran City College, ALERT, CTMO, PNP, and BFP joined forces in carrying out extensive cleaning activities at Sitio Ubos and Causeway.

The volunteer activities served as meaningful ways to commemorate the 57th Charter Day celebration of Tagbilaran, emphasizing the spirit of community and unity among the City Government employees.

In her speech, Mayor Jane Yap expressed her appreciation for the dedication and active participation of the City Government employees in this volunteer activities.

She said, “I am proud of our employees for their unwavering commitment to the betterment of Tagbilaran. Through their selfless actions, we are not only celebrating our city’s charter day but also showing our love and care for our community.”

The volunteer activities organized by the Tagbilaran City Government employees, exemplifies their strong sense of community service and their desire to create a more livable and sustainable city. By coming together and actively contributing to the cleaning and greening efforts, they have set a remarkable example of civic engagement and stewardship for the residents of Tagbilaran.
