CONGRESSWOMAN Alexie B. Tutor has bared that a total of P313 million worth of infrastructure projects are to be done in Guindulman town, part of the 19 towns comprising the third congressional district she represented.
The projects are the following: Flood Control in barangay Canhaway and Sitio Ponod, barangay Sawang; Flood Control in barangay Casbu; Tangohay River Control, Sitio Ponod, Sawang; Solar Water System in barangay Basdio; concreting of the road in barangay Tabajan to barangay Sawang, Sitio Pansul Cabantian; Multi Purpose (covered court) Building in barangay Lombog; and MPB (covered court) in barangay Canhaway Elementary School, barangay Canhaway.
This after the groundbreaking last week of said projects funded by the General Appropriations Act (GAA) 2023.
The said projects will be implemented by the Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) 3rd engineering office.
Early this month, Tutor, together with Mayor Jess Baja, vice-mayor and SB members and DPWH officials, did the groundbreaking of the hard projects in Garcia-Hernandez town.
The projects include the flood control structure in Manaba river at barangay Manaba worth P90 million with a length of 34.68 meters; and concreting of 1.5-kilometer road in barangay West Canayaon with P40 million.
The funds were sourced out GAA and it will be implemented by the DPWH III.
All the aforesaid projects are based on the convergence and special support program-basic infra program (BIP) flood mitigation structures protecting the public.
Tutor said that the said projects are intended to protect the properties but most of all the lives of the people residing nearby. (rvo)
