Adventure @ 60 and beyond

I WAS walking my dog the other morning when along the way I met three very active-looking seniors, presumably, having their routine walks in the morning. They look happy and vigorous despite their frail bodies. If I’m not mistaken, they were somewhere between 70-75 years old.

Looking at them brings my mind to some people I’ve met who are still in their early 40s and 50s. Comparing them to the seniors I encountered on the road, the former looked older (or acted older) and they seem to have that aura of “resignation” in life.

This observation made me realize that it’s really all in the mind and that age is really just a number. The elderlies I met looked more adventurous, more dynamic, and seem to possess more energy.

My experience that morning brought me to the word adventure in relation to aging and to the kind of life that seniors lead.
