CONGRESSWOMAN Vanessa “Vanvan” C. Aumentado (2nd district, Bohol) is candid enough to say that posting their help for deserving people in erecting their houses is not to grab, nor to brag about it, but to inspire.
“Posting this not to grab but to inspire others, bisan ginagmay kaya nato makapatukod ug simpleng balay basta kita nagtinabangay,” she said in her facebook post.
This came after two dwellings were turned over to the owners in Buenavista and Carmen towns with her hubby, Gov. Aris Aumentado, Mayor Dave Duallo, Mayor Conchita delos Reyes, Police provincial director Lorenzo A. Batuan and other officials present.
The said houses are part of the on-going housing program dubbed as “Libreng Alagad ug Balay” that the police command has initiated in the towns.
The families of Rewin Calago of barangay Lapacan Sur, Buenavista and Timotea Cortes of Sitio Tagaonan, Poblacion Norte, Carmen are the recent beneficiaries of the housing project. And there are other houses waiting to be completed under same project.
The aforementioned houses were funded from the Aumentado’s personal fund to the tune of P210, 000, or at P70,000/unit each, the congresswoman said.
The Congresswoman thanked those involved in the said project, especially the police force. She named Mayor Duallo, Mayor Delos Reyes, Batuan, PLTCOL Norman Nuez, Buenavista Chief of Police Captain Edcel Petecio, Carmen Chief of Police Major Sam Dacullo, Mun. Officials, Brgy Officials, private sponsors, volunteers and those who extend help to make the project meaningful and a reality.
She recalled that about few months ago in their talk with Batuan about the program, the first family did not doubt about it and immediately chipped in the said amount since they found out that the purpose is noble and the labor is voluntary. (rvo)
