THE Bohol Economic Development & Investment Promotion Office (BEDIPO), together with partner-agencies, held an assessment and planning meeting to re-evaluate and identify areas for improvement of the Convergence 2023 Abante Negosyo Caravan.
Held on Friday, March 24, at 717 Cesar’s Place in Tagbilaran, BEDIPO was joined by DTI, PhilHealth, SSS, DILG, PAGIBIG, DOLE, BIR, and the Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). The meeting explored possibilities to improve the program and how they can offer better government services for Boholanos.
BEDIPO OIC Maria Fe Dominise said this get-together with partner-agencies was an opportunity to think of ways to make government services accessible to Boholanos through the Bohol Business One Stop Shop (BOSS) Caravan, especially for those in areas outside of Tagbilaran City. The BOSS Caravan is a continuing program of the provincial government since 2016, and it has helped 28 out of 47 LGUs through 36 caravans. The caravan brings to Boholanos basic orientation and information regarding registration laws, to encourage Micro-Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (MSMEs) to process their licensing requirements.
SSS Vice President for Central Visayas Atty. Alberto Montalbo graced the event to show the agency’s support for the BOSS Caravan of the provincial government. “Rest assured, we are with the provincial government. Every year, we are delighted that PGBh along with partner-agencies make a continuous effort to bring services to remote areas in the province,” Montalbo said.
BEDIPO and the partner-agencies aim to bring services to 10 municipalities in 2023 and collaborate with local governments to strengthen information on what residents can avail of from the one-stop shop, especially the various government services offered in the caravan. They hope that more LGUs will join to bring business registration services closer to Boholanos. (PiMO/GMC)
