BOHOL Provincial Government, national line agencies, and civil society organizations align development directions in a workshop with the Provincial Development Council Executive Committee. Forty-five PGBh departments and 61 National Agencies attended the activity held on Tuesday, January 7, at the ceremonial hall of the new capitol building.
Argeo Melisimo, the private sector representative to the Regional Development Council 7, emphasized the importance of a clear direction in addressing areas of concern for Bohol, through a unified effort from NGAs and their provincial counterparts.
Melisimo advised the attendees to think of long-term planning and encouraged outside-the-box ideas in creating development projects.
“Let’s focus on helping to empower the Boholano community through our respective departments. Your office is the best role for you to contribute to the community”, Melisimo said.
Lawyer John Titus Vistal, the Provincial Planning and Development Coordinator, presented an overview of the Strategic Governance Roadmap of 2024, showcasing the desired outcome for projects initiated by the Provincial Government and how to achieve it through collaboration among government agencies.
A break-out session between NGAs and PGBh departments followed in the afternoon as an opportunity for dialogue to express their concerns from their respective agencies. Governor Erico Aristotle Aumentado thanked everyone who attended the activity and assured his support for the outputs created from the activity. “Rest assured, whatever output you’ve created from this activity, both the PDC and RDC will support them in the name of progress for Bohol,” Aumentado, chair of the PDC and RDC, said.
