CITY Mayor Jane Yap personally handed the Php100K to centenarian Marcosa Oclarit Cagas.
Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs Belen Leyble, City Social Welfare and Development Officer Lucille Clarin, and Sir Chief Baba Yap were also present in the turn-over. Aside from the cash incentive from the City Government, the said centenarian will also receive another Php100K from the National Government.
The Office of the Senior Citizens Affairs continuously delivers the daily free birthday cakes and cash incentives to our beloved senior citizens. From January to July this year, the OSCA has already released more than 12K birthday cakes and cash gifts to our beloved seniors, including movie, grocery, and medicine booklets.
The city ensures the health protocols and safety standards during the delivery. The City Government also administered flu and pneumonia vaccines for free to the elderly. (Jeanette Busano)
