100 Days (Reprint)

The 100 days in office of Governor Erico Aristotle “Aris” Aumentado, was met last Friday. He was inaugurated on the 30th of June, 2022. He shared his experiences as a governor, especially when calamities hit our shores. He further emphasized his mission and ideals to make Boholanos his priority and to eliminate graft and corruption within the Provincial Capitol.

In our honest opinion, the Bohol Economic Recovery Task Force and the Office of Governance Accountability and Reform are two of the governor’s best projects during his hundred days as a public servant. We have discussed the latter before, so let us focus more on the former.

Bohol Economic Recovery Task Force (BERTF) mainly has two mandates: to be economically prepared for future disasters and to assist in implementing the Cebu-Bohol Power Interconnectivity and future power-related concerns. This project is a boon to all Boholanos if handled well and wisely. This project will target the cries of our farmers and fisherfolk while lessening their burdens. This plan will also respond to the outcry of the Boholano people to have a backup power supply in case our Leyte powerlines get cut off again, just like during the typhoon Odette calamity.

In summary, in all his wisdom, we believe the governor has done a splendid job during his 100 days of service. We hope he continues to do the work accompanied by his vice-governor, Dionisio Victor Balite, and with the provincial board members. We hope he continues to be the hope of Bohol that we have \desperately wished for during the past administrations. (MIDB)
